The Australian Ghanaian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AGCCI) hosted a remarkable event titled “Building Bridges” on the 1st of May 2024, in Sydney aimed at fostering stronger ties between Australia and Ghana. This gathering featured distinguished speakers, including Ms. Berenice Owen-Jones, the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana, and Ms. Charishma Kaliyanda, MP, Member for Liverpool.
The event kicked off with a captivating cultural display by the Salaka Dance Ensemble, setting the stage for networking and collaboration.
Bishop Richard Asamoah Boateng, President of AGCCI, delivered a warm welcome address and emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to facilitating trade and investment between the two nations, setting the stage for insightful discussions.
Highlights included a keynote address by Ms. Owen-Jones, emphasizing opportunities for collaboration, and a solidarity message from Ms. Kaliyanda, MP.
Attendees were also enlightened about AGCCI’s mission to promote bilateral trade and cultural exchange, delivered by Country Director Jon Attakora. The evening concluded with an interactive Q&A session, providing an engaging platform for further discussion and inquiry.
